Shcaa is a producer, songwriter, composer and guitarist based in Paris.
His craft is at the crossing of electronic studies, blues, techno and jazz. He is among these few artists who answer to precepts of dance music while never being imprisoned by its mechanism or stigmas. An art of time where rhythms, repetitions and silences become the many chapters of a film without image.
After many EPs and a first album released on Sharingtones, he joins the roster of R&S Records in 2018 and releases in 2020 his second album on their sub-label Apollo. On No Moon At All, What A Night, he unveils a genuine artistic maturity where rich and complex harmonies collide with poetic vocals to create an unparalleled story that echoes far beyond the borders of electronic music.
As director of his own music videos, designer of his artworks and artistic director of the visuals for his live performances, his label Placidum is conceived as an audiovisual art gallery, nurturing strong interactions between music and images. He collaborated in 2018 with the Tate Museum in London to create a mixtape inspired by Paul Klee’s painting A Young Lady’s Adventure. He is also music supervisor, sound designer & composer who collaborates over the long term with brands including luxury watchmaker Richard Mille and Perfume House Henry Jacques.
